Kitchen and Powder room remodel in a historic Mt. Airy home

This kitchen and powder room remodel reconfigured an awkward, dated space, into a fun working kitchen for a modern family. By maximizing cabinetry, and moving the dining and mudroom entries incrementally the entire space was transformed.  Historic details, like the original mudroom door were re-positioned to fit with the new, modern cabinets and counters.  The homeowners appreciate pattern, and the new tile pairs smartly with the historic window details to add a contemporary, but timeless, feel to the space. The powder room is tucked away in a cabinetry entry.
